Erhai disappointed me. There have too many compliments about Erhai so I thought it would be an amazing place, but it is just a huge lake lacking worth of photograph.
It’s beautiful, no doubt, but for a nature / landscape photographer, it has less natural spot around the lake. Tourist’s industry turn the whole lake into an over commercial tourists’ scene spot. Family inns are everywhere around the lake shore, it’s very hard to find a real CAFE to have a rest when I drove around the lake, at last I gave up searching cafe and had a cup of coffee in a family inn. And here is an interesting thing, Yunnan is the origin place of Yunnan Xiaoli coffee beans, but there is no PRO CAFE around Erhai. I had thought it must have many cafes around the lake before I went there.
So don’t hope too much about Erhai if you have been sea shore.
洱海是比较让我失望的。距离我想象中太远，也许是因为《异度之刃》中曾有以洱海为原型的游戏场景吧，游戏场景太梦幻，以至于实际中的洱海不过是一个缺乏摄影价值的大湖，对于我这个自然/风景摄影师来说。不是说不好看，好看与好拍是两回事，湖面过于宽广，苍山太过遥远是问题之一，缺乏自然环境也是问题之一，环洱海的民宿实在太多也是一个问题，太过游客化，作为云南小粒咖啡的原产地，在湖边居然没有一家专业咖啡馆，实在没辙我才进了一家民宿喝咖啡，至于咖啡品质嘛，不要强求，有的喝就行了。
如果去过海边的人，就不要对这里包太大期望了。
